The Unitube light-armoured outdoor cable is designed to accommodate 6 to 24 single-mode OS2 fibers. Its core structure features a loose tube manufactured from high-modulus plastic, filled with a water-resistant gel to ensure fiber protection. A Polyethylene Steel Polyethylene (PSP) layer is applied longitudinally around the tube, with additional water-blocking materials placed in between to maintain compactness and prevent moisture ingress. Two parallel steel wires positioned on either side of the steel tape provide added strength, while the outer polyethylene (PE) sheath safeguards the cable against ultraviolet radiation and harsh outdoor conditions.
